Olsztyn Sport Museum

The Marian Tadeusz Rapacki Sports Museum in Olsztyn was opened in 1988. Since that time, it is mainly gathering items related to the sportsmen from the Warmian-Masurian area. The museum is located inside multiarena Urania.

The exposition was divided into few sections: sport in Olsztyn 'People of Sport', 'Polish Sport' and photographic records. The library with the rich collection on the subject of sport and video library consisting of records of sports events can also be found there.

In 2009 the museum got a name of Marian Tedeusz Rapacki - the canoeing coach, famous sports activists in Olsztyn who for many years had been working as a Sports Museum manager. Marian Rapacki was an honorary member of the city.
