The Olkusz Earth Firefighting Museum is based on the collection of Stefan Ząbczyński, the president of the local Volunteer Fire Brigade for many years. Today it has antique uniforms, helmets and fire equipment. You can see, among others, the 17th century alarm bell or a fire truck from World War II.
The museum was created from the collector's passion of one man. Stefan Ząbczyński expanded his collections from the time of World War II until the 1990s. Currently, this work continues the museum he founded. Firemen's banners, gala and work uniforms, water pumps, pumps of various versions, horse-drawn carts and fire-fighting barrels were collected here. The decoration is a renovated fire fighting vehicle from World War II, called "Jasiek".
Part of the exhibition is also devoted to the period of World War II. Through the photos, documents, elements of armament and uniforms the history of the local guerrilla was shown, in which members of the fire brigade played an important role.
