Henryk Sienkiewicz is one of the most famous Polish writers. And the best place to get to know his life and work is the Mansion in Oblęgorku. In the nobleman's favor presented by the mansion society is an exhibition devoted to the creator of "Quo vadis". Exquisitely valuable are the interiors of the palace, faithfully reproduced according to Sienkiewicz's children's memories and photographs.

In 1900 Henryk Sienkiewicz celebrated 25 years of creative work. On this occasion, a fortune was purchased from the social gathering in Oblęgorek near Kielce. In the next two years an eclectic palace was built which served as a summer residence for the writer. The palace is surrounded by a large park, designed by the creator of the Warsaw Saski Garden, Francis Szanior. From the gate to the entrance leads here a beautiful lime alley.

The Henryk Sienkiewicz Museum has been operating in Oblęgorek since 1956. The palace was given for this purpose by the children of the writer. On the ground floor there are reconstructed interiors dating back to the Sienkiewicz era. Study, living room and dining room. There are collections of jubilee gifts, as well as a collection of African and Asian weapons and hunting trophies. On the top floor there is the largest collection of jubilee albums and addresses in Poland.
