The Greek House which houses the Regional Museum in Myślenice is a 17th century inn. Inside, you can learn about the history of the city from prehistoric times to World War II and learn about the culture of the population living in the area. There are four exhibitions here, archeological, ethnographic, related to World War II and a reconstruction of nineteenth-century bourgeois interiors.
The traditions of the Regional Museum in Myślenice date back to the interwar period. After the war, it found its seat in the so-called Greek House. This is a 17th century manor house that served as an inn. Armenian merchants, called by the locals Greeks, stayed in it. It is a two-story rectangular building with a mansard roof covered with tiles.
The museum exhibition shows the items unearthed during archeological works around the Muszyna castle, the costumes and material culture of Kliszczaks and Krakowiaks who lived in Myślenice and the history of the city during World War II. In two rooms on the ground floor, the bourgeois interior of the house from the early 19th century was recreated.
