Natural History Museum of the Wolin National Park
Local name: Muzeum Przyrodnicze Wolińskiego Parku Narodowego
The Museum of Natural History of the Wolin National Park, using extremely realistic dioramas, presents a variety of flora and fauna of the WPN. In addition, the facility's unique attraction are live specimens of white-tailed eagles and eagle owls placed in aviaries. The birds are unable to live independently in the wild, which is why they were left in the towns.
Museum exhibitions show animals in their natural habitat. Admire here, among others, the gray seals lounging, hunting battalions, and the white-tailed eagle, which proudly carries its prey. In addition, we can see deer, deer, wild boars and the largest mammals - European bison.
The facility also houses dioramas showing landscapes typical of the Wolin National Park - the coast of the Szczecin Lagoon, coastal cliffs shown in both summer and winter. There is also a mock-up showing the lives of people living on the island of Wolin over a thousand years ago. All exhibitions have been enriched with beautiful photographs.
