Wolin National Park
Local name: Woliński Park Narodowy
It's the first sea park in Poland. It contains not only the land but also the belt of the Baltic coast. Visitors can use the special tourist, natural or bike tracks, or visit the Demonstration Farm of European Bisons. The area of the park also consists of Bunkier V3 in Zalesie which operates as the mini-museum, and Grodzisko Lubin - the remains after the gord from the early Middle Ages.
The landscape of Woliński National Park contains mainly moraine hills. The rest is covered with the Świna River and glacial lakes. Plants which are especially worthy of attention are vascular plants - over 1300 species. Forests are mostly overgrown with pine trees. The most numerous animals in the park are birds including a white-tailed eagle. Mammals are seen less often but with a bit of luck, it's possible to spot grey seal or porpoise.Other worthwhile attractions are Turquoise Lake which color is green, hence its name, Piastowskie Rocks - seaside boulder field - and the oldest oak stand.Less
