Wilczki Waterfall

Local name: Wodospad Wilczki

The waterfall on the Wilczka River is located in the Eastern Sudetes in the Śnieżnik Mounatains in the "Wilczki Waterfall" nature reserve. It is part of the Śnieżnik Landscape Park and the Natura 2000 area. The waterfall can be admired from a specially created vantage point and a bridge.

The waterfall has a height of 22 m. In winter, icefalls are forming on its sides, which are falling ice lumps. The waterfall is located near the town of Międzygórze and is a well-accessible tourist attraction. In its vicinity there is a red tourist trail leading from Międzygórze to Góra Igliczna and two didactic nature paths.

Wilczki waterfall in the past was called Żeromski's Waterfalls (Wodogrzmoty Żeromskiego), while its original German name is Wölfelsfall. An interesting fact is that before the great flood in 1997, the waterfall was 5 m higher and before 1945 he had reached a height of 30 m.
