Museum of Pharmacy Professor J. Muszyński is located in the building of the oldest pharmacy in Łódź. The interiors from the turn of the 19th and 20th century have been reconstructed here, including a herbalist, a library, a place where medicine is prepared, ie a recipe, a shopping room and a lounge. The museum has a large collection of scales and pharmacy utensils, as well as original furniture and pharmacy equipment.
In 1830, the first pharmacy was launched in Łódź. In its building, at Plac Wolności, the Museum of Pharmacy was opened in 2008. Professor J. Muszyński. We managed to reconstruct the appearance of rooms from the 19th and early 20th centuries. They are equipped with period furniture, pharmacy cabinets, tables, a counter and chairs for waiting. A big challenge was to create a copy of the interior of the pharmacy. There are old tools for preparing medicines - mortars, scales, measuring tubes, flasks, heaters and many more.In addition to the permanent exhibition, the Museum often hosts temporary exhibitions. Also organizes workshops, lectures and thematic meetings.Less
