The Church of the Pentecost is one of the oldest monuments in Łódź. It was built in the early 19th century in the classicist style and was functioning, until World War II, as a church of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession. At the end of the 19th century it was thoroughly rebuilt. Then, a dome and corner turrets were built. The interior of the church was made in post-war times.
The church of the Holy Trinity of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession was built in 1826. It was a classicist building, twin in relation to the municipal council that had been standing in front of it. With time, however, it turned out to be too small for the growing evangelical community of Łódź. From 1889 to 1892 the church had been really rebuilt from scratch. Only some of the old walls have been preserved. It became a temple on a Greek cross plan with a dome above the intersection of naves. The corners were decorated with 4 turrets. After the World War II, the temple was conveyed to Catholics. At that time, the interior polychromy, the main altar, and sculptures were made. From the old equipment of a church romantic pipe organs and a bell from 1893 have preserved.Less
