The Museum of Petroleum Industry and Ethnography in Libusza near Biecz presents the rich traditions of oil mining in the region of Dół Krosno-Sanocki. There are distillery and forge equipment from the mid-nineteenth century, oil gallons, oil well models, mine documents and mining uniforms.
The museum was established by the efforts of former employees of the oil industry, Anna and Tadeusz Pabis. The goal of the facility is to show the beginnings of oil mining in Podkarpacie and its development. It is to make people realize that this is where the world oil career begins. The creators of the museum managed to collect biographies of over 500 oil workers, of which 50 from the first years of oil production, i.e. from 1852-1860. They also collected the first mining tools, oil vessels, drilling rigs and equipment for miners.
The second department of the museum are ethnographic collections. It shows costumes, home furnishings, household appliances used by the inhabitants of Libusza and its surroundings.
