Energy Museum
Local name: Muzeum Energetyki
It is a museum facility that collects documents, photographs and equipment related to the production and use of electricity as well as the history of the electrical industry. The property is located in the old switchboard.
The museum was founded in 2000. Among its exhibits are: steam turbine from the war, pre-war biogas engine, measuring instruments, household electric current collectors, light bulbs, electronic lamps and firefighting equipment. Particularly noteworthy is the presence of Edison's incandescent lightbulb, which is lit every year, at the Feast of the Incandescent Lamp (6 January) and the history book of the power plant, which can only be read with a magnifying glass.
The facility organizes workshops, lessons and demonstrations in physics, chemistry, robotics, electricity and electronics. The museum was also included in the Silesian Museum of Technical History.
