Market Square and Town Hall in Lądek-Zdrój

The ancient market is decorated with baroque houses in the west and north, while the northern frontage is enriched by the Renaissance arcades. An undoubted attraction is the 19th-century neo-Renaissance town hall and the magnificent 18th century votive sculpture of the Holy Trinity by Michał Klahra.
On the market there is also a medieval pillory transferred in 1964. From Skrzynka village. The original urban pillory has disappeared, and the current one is probably from the 16th century.
The fronts of some buildings are decorated with the emblems of the former craftsmen's quarters - the guild of bakers, the horseshoes, the merchant caduceus and the sculpture of the Madonna with the baby at home number 1.
In the vicinity of the market through Biała Lądecka passes the late Gothic stone bridge St. John, where the statue of St. John is located. Jan Nepomucena - patron of bridges.
The well-preserved market is a true pearl of Lower Silesia and a must-see for the city. The Renaissance market in Lądek is one of the most beautiful and charming in Kłodzko.
