Chapel on the Water
Local name: Kaplica na Wodzie
A historic building consisting of two wooden chapels connected by a pier, erected over the water flowing from the spring. The history of this structure dates back to 1646, but its modern appearance is due to the reconstruction in the 19th century. In the middle of the structure there is a copy of the image of Our Lady of Krasnobród. In addition, you can also see the interesting history of this painting.
The chapel has been a destination of pilgrimages since 1640, when a sick inhabitant of a nearby village - Jakub Ruszczyk - was to be healed in this place by Our Lady during the apparition. Miraculous, healing properties are also attributed to the water coming from the spring under the chapel.
In the immediate vicinity of the chapel, there is a stone figure of the Mother of God commemorating the apparitions by the local sculptor Andrzej Gontarz, as well as the Stations of the Cross, the stations of which were also made by this artist.
