Polonia Wax Museum is one of the most modern attractions in Kraków. One of the tenement houses on the main square presents characters known from Polish history, politics, sports, and art. The exhibition also consists of persons important to the world church and also popular movie characters.
An inspiration for establishing the museum was World Youth Day which took place in Kraków in 2016. The exposition was to introduce the most important people of Polish social life and church. It consists of, among others, three popes - John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis - Polish presidential couples, Mother Teresa, or Marchal Józef Piłsudski. Apart from that, there are also sports stars such as Robert Lewandowski and Adam Małysz, and representatives of social life such as Jurek Owsiak.All figures have accordingly arranged surroundings. The characters are recreated with detailed looks and clothes. The exhibition contains additional scenery which is the tenement house visited by John III Sobieski, Nicholas II of Russia, and Franz Joseph I of Austria.Less
