The Museum of the Center of History of Technics of AGH in Kraków mostly consists of monumental models of mining and steelmaking devices, and also university equipment. It also organizes temporary exhibitions and workshops for youth and adolescents such as AGH JUNIOR for kindergarten students.
The main hall houses the collection of models of blast furnaces from steel mills in Starachowice and Katowice. Another exhibition presents former laboratory apparatus from the university such as microscopes, optical devices, scales, measuring devices, and research apparatus.What is more, it houses documents and souvenirs related to the activity of AGH in Kraków. The most important ones are foundation documents from the times of the Austrian Partition. The museum was established in 1969 by the Institute of History of Technics and Technical Sciences which operates in the Faculty of Mining and Steelmaking Machines.Less
