Local name: Opactwo Cystersów w Mogile

Cistercian Abbey in Mogiła in Kraków was established in the 13th century when Iwon Odrowąż brought monastics in order to overcome Pagan cults in then Mogiła Village. It consists of Jesus of Mogiła Chapel, basilica, chapter house, former calefactorium, friary, abbatial chapel, and sundial on the church's wall.

The tour with guide leads through the monumental cloisters and alleys of monastery garden. The cloisters are decorated with polychromies by Stanisław Samostrzelnik, Cistercian, illuminatorm, and miniaturist. The former parish church dedicated to Saint Bartholomew the Apostle can also be explored.

Cistercians came here from the city of Lubiąż in Lower Silesia. The abbey was destroyed by the Tatar raid in 1241. The rebuild was carried out in the times of Casimir the Great.
