The Minerals Museum is located in the Lighthouse of the port of Kołobrzeg. In the cellars of the historic building, minerals from around the world are presented. In a dozen or so glazed and illuminated showcases, unprecedented treasures are exposed. Some are raw and look as if they were just taken out of the ground; others were presented after polishing; there are also those that after extraction were cut to show their interior.
The stones were collected during trips to many countries around the world. Particularly noteworthy is the collection of Moroccan agates. The stones are extremely impressive and unique. From the national geological treasures, striped flint from Iłża is recommended.A unique exhibit is a log of wood, which as a result of changes turned into a hard rock. Lovers of prehistory will certainly be interested in petrified dinosaur nest with eggs. Interesting exhibits in the field of paleontology are dinosaur skeletons, shells of prehistoric snails and trapped in sediments and petrified remains of animals and plants.Less
