Museum of Polish Arms

The Polish Arms Museum in Kołobrzeg is one of the most famous museums in Poland. The permanent exhibition pavilion that forms part of the museum presents a powerful collection showing the history of the Polish army from the Middle Ages to modern times. The technical room presents many archaeological finds, exhibits from sea battles and medieval weapons.

The enthusiasts will find here interesting uniforms and armaments of Polish soldiers from the First and Second World Wars, collections of weapons, orders and decorations. The pavilion and the technical room are complemented by an interesting outdoor exhibition, which presents, among others, German "Enigma" cipher machine, tanks, Mig-19P plane and Mauser German rifle.

Thanks to its collections and activities, the museum is an important meeting place for history enthusiasts from all over Europe. The high rank of the classification of museum collections attracts more interested ones. The idea to create a museum in Kołobrzeg came few years after the Second World War. Since then, the collections are constantly growing.
