In the historic castle, after a few years of renovation, a luxury hotel, SPA, and conference center are now situated. There is a conference room and an elegant restaurant in the stable complex located in the premises of the ducal farm. The building is surrounded by an 80 hectare park which is a great place for a walk. This wonderful residence is open to the public.
The Kliczków castle complex is one of the most beautiful and best kept objects of this type in Poland. Built by Bolko I the Strict at the end of the 13th century, the castle was supposed to defend against Czech invasions, but over a century later it became the Czech fief. The changing owners and numerous rebuildings with time gave it the form of a Renaissance palace. In 1944, the building was confiscated from the Solms-Baruth family by German authorities. The castle preserved the World War II without major damage, but it was completely plundered by the Soviet Army and looters. In the post-war years it was owned by the army and had been systematically falling into ruin. After unsuccessful attempts to restore the building and bring back its splendor by the Wrocław University of Technology, only at the end of the 20th century, a private investor has completed a comprehensive renovation and adaptation of historical buildings.Less
