Albrechtówka
Local name: Albrechtówka
Albrechtówka is a hill near Kazimierz Dolny. At the top of the hill, there is a lookout point from which you can enjoy stunning views. You can admire the Malopolska Vistula River Gorge, the Radom Plain, the former fishing village, and the village of Mięmierz, located at the foot of the river.
The name of the hill comes from the name of Jan Albrycht. He was a railway engineer and owner of a quarry in Pulawy. He bought the local lands, along with the hill, and built a villa whose remains can be admired to this day.
At the foot of Albrechtówka, there is a small village of Mięmierz, considered to be an open-air museum. There are many historic cottages in the area, some of which have been brought from other towns. It is inhabited by artists and intelligentsia mainly from Warsaw and Lublin, which are now used as cottages. Not far from the steep slope is a wooden windmill type goat.
