Collegiate Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kartuzy is a Gothic parish church, a former Kartuzy monastery church and the seat of the Kartuska Collegiate Chapter Chapter. Among others coffin-shaped roof, baroque tower helmet, gothic altar, baroque stalls, prior throne, gallery with organ view, baptismal font and kurdyban.
The temple was built in the years 1383 - 1405 as the church of the Carthusian monastery complex. Of the elements of the monastery complex, the hermitage has survived, that is, the cell of religious brothers, outbuildings and the refectory, which currently houses a gallery of modern art.
The Gothic altar was made in the form of a triptych, initially it was the main altar, today it is in the Golden Chapel. Other side altars: "Christmas", "Three Kings", "Lord's Supper" and "All Saints" are Baroque monuments. The walls of the presbytery are decorated with a gilded courtyard, funded by the prior Wawrzyniec Fendrich.
