Local name: Muzeum Kamieni
At the Stone Museum in Kamień Pomorski, visitors can admire exhibitions presenting hundreds of amazing minerals, fossils, meteorites, and even dinosaur skeletons. In addition, the facility has a collection of replicas of knight's armor and weapons as well as exhibitions on the history of the city.
The exhibits, located in several rooms, present fragments of petrified animals, including the skeletons of deinonychus and ornitolest, as well as the bones of tyrannosaur, allosaurus, barionic, cellophysic and strutiomim. In addition, here you can admire the nest of duck duckling eggs. The collection also includes numerous minerals, ambers and meteorites.
An attraction in itself is also the building in which the museum is located. It is the fourteenth-century Tower and the Wolin Gate. The tower is one of eight towers that survived over the centuries. There is also a viewing terrace from which a picturesque panorama of the city and the Kamienski Lagoon stretches.
