Zofia Kossak-Szatkowska Museum

Zofia Kossak-Szatkowska Museum is located in her former house in Górki Wielkie. Since 1973, it operates as one of the branches of the Museum in Cieszyn. It consists of four permanent exhibitions: bedroom (biographical room), dining room, kitchen, and office. The whole presents the atmosphere Zofia lived and worked in.

Temporary exhibitions are organized every year for ten months. The house is surrounded by a beautiful, charming garden which was very important for the writer's family.

Displayed items include photographies, family souvenirs, manuscripts, and typescripts. The collection is complemented by paintings by Witkiewicz and Kuryatto. There were also works by Wojciech and Julliusz Kossak but, unfortunately, they were stolen and weren't found to this day.

The Zofia Kossak Foundation has its headquarters in the museum.
