Sanctuary of Saint Mary of the Snows
Local name: Sanktuarium Maria Śnieżna
Sanctuary Maria Śnieżna is located on the Igliczna mountain in Bystrzyca Kłodzka. It is a late Baroque-style temple. It was built in the place of miraculous healings, which were confirmed by the commission.
The miracle worker is a statue of Mary, called Mary Snow. This is a small wooden sculpture dressed in a blue floral dress. Its base is made up of three angelic heads. In 1983 in Wroclaw pope John Paul II crowned the sculpture of Our Lady from the Iglicz Mountains and admitted her call "Cause of our Joy". The marvelous figurine has its place in the showcase in the middle of the main altar. Numerous stained-glass windows, sculptures and frescoes deserve attention.
The Sanctuary of Maria Śnieżna is home to a small museum, with a year-round crib and souvenirs, which depict the extraordinary history of this place.
