Orłowo Pier

Local name: Molo w Orłowie

The pier in Orłowo district is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the Gdynia's coast. The 180-meters pier attracts inhabitants of Tricity and tourists who love walks by the sea.

The history of the today's pier in Gdynia dates back to World War I when the first small pier was constructed in Orłowo. It was expanded twice in the first half of the 20th century. The then pier had over 400m and served not only as a place for walks but also as a harbor for bigger ships. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by the storm in 1949. The reconstructed pier with smaller length is the one known today.

The Orłowski Cliff can be spotted during a walk on the pier. Summer Stage of the City Theatre in Gdynia can be found nearby.
