Interior inconspicuous wooden church in Gasawa hides real treasures. Valuable exhibits are beautiful murals on the walls of the church, but you can also see carried over from the former church XVI century Crucifixion group on the rood beam, Mannerist baptismal font and the miraculous image of Our Lady of the main altar. Single-nave church was built in the seventeenth century, as the object donated by the canons of Trzemeszno. Due to the weakening of the wooden structure of the church was rebuilt and renovated many times. Last renovated in 1998-1999 contributed to the discovery of well-preserved murals. It is interesting that saving elaborate works from being destroyed by the Germans during World War II, the temple owes Prussian authorities, who did not agree to build a new temple under Prussian domination. Out of necessity, to strengthen the construction of the church was covered with a thick layer of plaster hiding the precious paintings and a half century. During the war, the church functioned German granary.
