The Chełmska Region Museum Collection is a real lesson in the history, culture and art of the region. The facility presents historical, natural, archeological, ethnographic and art collections documenting the history of the city and the region from prehistory to modern times.
At the exhibitions he can see, among others, documents, photographs, newspapers and personal souvenirs of famous figures, monuments related to Chełm's material, spiritual and social culture, examples of artistic craftsmanship, silverware, clocks, lamps, furniture, paintings and sculptures collections and hundreds of other exhibits .
The pearl of the collection is a rich collection of occupational announcements from the Chełm press and documents with signatures of Polish kings. Nature enthusiasts will love the collection of day and night butterflies, as well as rare botanical specimens. In the art collection, you can see, among others, examples of paintings and graphics from the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, numerous portraits of the powerful from Chełmno, and works by local artists.
