The late baroque church is one of the most valuable monuments of the city. It is a two-tower temple, behind whose facade is an octagonal main nave. The interior is decorated with illusionist polychromes from the 18th century. There are also religious paintings from the older temple. Szymon Czechowicz painted them in the 17th century.
The beginnings of the Church of the Sending Apostles go back to the 15th century. The wooden temple in this place was founded by Władysław Jagiełło. The brick church was built in the 16th century, and the present one was built 200 years later from the foundation of the Wolski family and Wacław Rzewuski. A Piarist monastery operated near the temple.
It is a late Baroque temple with an nave on an octagonal plan surrounded by chapels. The interior is covered with colorful polychromes. The towers at the facade are set up with an arch, thanks to which the front gains a soft, wavy line. Inside there are Rococo altars and a pulpit. Images from older churches come from, among others, Our Lady of Częstochowa, Saint Anthony or Saint Kajetan with Baby Jesus.
