Headquarters of the. Leon Wyczółkowski in Bydgoszcz is housed in a historic building erected in the 17th century. Initially, it operated as a convent of the Poor Clares, then the building was adapted as a municipal hospital, and in the 1940s a museum was erected there.
The building, which houses the main branch of the District Museum in Bydgoszcz, was built in 1618. As a result of the construction work and the subsequent rebuilding (associated with the renaming of the monastery to the hospital) there is a one storey, two-winged neo-Renaissance style building combined with neomanierism. In the attic level there is a mansard and the façade is finished with projections, pilasters and rusting. Inside the museum is a portal decorated with columns.
Regional Museum of them. Leon Wyczolkowski was founded in 1945. Its headquarters are subject to renovation due to the poor technical condition and age of the building.
