Holmenkollen

In the museum you can learn the history of skiing since its birth. Exhibits such as skis from several thousand years ago are noteworthy. A visit to Holmenkollen is a treat for lovers of the works of the Norwegian writer Jo Nesbø. The action of the novel Fri, The first snow "(" Snømannen ") takes place, among others within the complex.

Holmenkollen was once famous for the Holmenkollbakken hill from 1892. However, this monument was demolished in 2008. The grand opening of the new hill took place two years later. The first, inaugural jump belonged to Anette Sagen.
