Oslo City Museum showing the history of the city, its development up to modern times, and also presents its inhabitants. Visitors will find exhibitions showing photographs, art objects, textiles, furniture, books and archives that will bring closer the cultural and social landscape of the capital of Norway.
The City Museum is just one of several institutions subordinate to the Oslo Museum Foundation, which was established in 2006 as an association of the City Museum, Theater Museum and Intercultural Museum. All three museums and the Work Museum established in 2013 are cultural objects dedicated to topics such as the history of Oslo, the history of the theater and cultural diversity in Norway.
