The Viking village in the city of Gudvangen was founded in 2017. It is an amusement park combined with authentic reconstruction. Attraction organizers allow participants to experience the culture and community of Vikings through educational and exciting activities, and bring visitors closer to the history of Scandinavian warriors.
The idea behind the founders of The Viking Experience is to create a vibrant historical cultural place where you can experience and learn about the culture of the Viking era without the limits of museums. Therefore, guests of the Viking Village will enjoy attractions in the spirit of medieval Norway. The assumption of "learning through play" allows guests to impersonate historical characters, try dishes prepared in accordance with ancient Norwegian cuisine from ingredients used by Vikings, fight and game shows or listening to stories by the fire.
