Macedonia Square

Local name: Плоштад Македонија

It is the largest city square in the country. It has several monuments, including the controversial 12-meter statue of a warrior on horseback and the bust of the 10th-century Bulgarian Tsar, Samuel praktopul. There are many historic buildings around the square. Important state and cultural events take place here regularly.
