St. James's Church
Local name: St. Jacobuskerk
The building erected in 1933, designed by HW Valk and JH Sluijmer, stood at the site of the first Catholic church in Enschede since the Reformation. In the interior, modeled on Byzantine architecture, attention is drawn to Pieta - the work of Mari Andriessen, one of the most important Dutch sculptors of the 20th century.
