Parish Church of St Paul & Grotto Of St Paul is the Roman Catholic church of St. St. Paul in the city of Rabat and the cave of St. Pubert located under it (or more precisely the church of St. Publius adjacent to it) Paul. Saint. Paul the Apostle in 60 during a trip to court to Rome.

According to the Acts of the Apostles Paul found himself in Malta when the ship carrying him to Rome sank, and the survivors received the governor of the island Publius (he died around 112). St. Paweł was to heal his benefactor's father, which took Publius and led him to the path of conversion. According to Christian tradition, Publius was the first bishop of Malta.

The current building of the church of St. Paweł was erected in 1683. Entrance to the grotto of St. Paweł is in the church of St. Publius. The grotto is connected by underground passages also with the nearby Wignacourt Museum. Two popes prayed in Grotto - John Paul II in 1990 and Benedict XVI in 2010.
