Tarxien Temples
Local name: Tarxien Temples
A complex of five megalithic temples from the Neolithic and Bronze Age. Since 1992, they have been inscribed on the UNESCO list and are among the most important prehistoric monuments of Malta. The buildings were erected from rough, processed rock blocks, and their walls were decorated with paintings and engravings, some of which have survived to this day.
