St. Teresa is one of the most important temples in Vilnius, connected with the Gate of Dawn - a destination for pilgrims from all over the world. The Ostra Brama Church, as it is often called, was built in the years 1635-1650. The interior in the Rococo style, designed by Jan Krzysztof Glaubitz, comes from the 18th century, because the original furnishings were destroyed in a fire in 1760. There are frescoes depicting the life of St. Teresa in a stucco frame and a richly decorated main altar depicting the ecstasy of St. Teresa.
