The museum presents the history of the German and Soviet occupation of Latvia in the 20th century. It is located in a building that was erected in the city center in 1971 for the exhibition of Latvian Red Rifles. The exhibition presents documents, fragments of files, press, photos and films, including propaganda materials, both German and Soviet, as well as personal mementoes of the inhabitants of Latvia. You can also see a reconstruction of a barrack from a labor camp.
