Caetani Castle

Local name: Castello Caetani

The history of the castle dates back to the 13th century. It was built by the Annibaldi family, and in 1297 it passed into the hands of the Caetani family. Two fortified towers attract attention - the 42-meter-high Maschio Tower and the slightly smaller Maschietto Tower. The restored interiors of the castle can be visited individually or with a guide. It also hosts a variety of cultural events, including art exhibitions.

The Barons' Hall is the main part of the castle. There are three guest rooms in it. In two of them there are paintings depicting mythological scenes and characters, a highway by an unknown artist representing the Pinturicchio school. You can also see later, 16th-century paintings depicting the Madonna and Child, St. Peter and John the Baptist
