A bridge in the center of Pisa, built after World War II on the site of the previous, demolished crossing. The history of the bridge in this place dates back to the Middle Ages, but the current structure is completely contemporary.
It is a single-span crossing, almost 90 m long. Its advantage is beautiful views of the Old Town. On the last Sunday of June, the famous "Game of the Bridge" takes place here, referring to the medieval battles fought between the inhabitants of different districts for access to the bridge.Less
