Pinzolo is a holiday and ski resort in the Val Rendena valley at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites. It offers a wide range of active leisure activities, both in summer and winter, and the atmosphere of a traditional mountain resort.
The town has medieval roots and a lot of old buildings have been preserved in its center. There is min. one of the most important monuments of the region, the medieval church of St. Virgil of Trento, whose walls are decorated with gothic frescoes depicting, among others "Dance of death".
Around the historic center of Pinzolo are the estates of guesthouses, hotels and apartments for rent. Tourists come here both in summer and in winter. In summer, the surrounding mountains are great for hiking. You can use both easier walking routes and via ferrata roads.
In winter, on the slopes of the Doss del Sabion mountain, there is a large ski resort, the upper station of which is located at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. m above sea level. It offers numerous downhill runs of various difficulty levels, as well as good snowboarding facilities and a snow park. If you're not satisfied with the skiing fun in Pinzolo, you can go to the neighboring resort of Madonna di Campiglio.
