Palau is a resort town in Sardinia. It is known for its beautiful sandy beaches and unusual rock formations located on the coast.

Palau has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. There are stone Tombs of the Giants, one of the main archaeological monuments of Sardinia. In the town itself, you can find a lot of old buildings in the form of houses painted with pastel colors, small churches and villas from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The port is a charming place, around which there are numerous pubs and restaurants.

Palau's biggest attraction is its beaches. Sandy, golden and at the seaside with a wonderful emerald shade. One of the most popular is Porto Faro beach, located in a small bay. From it you can admire the view of the islands of Santo Stefano and Caprera, and above there is one of the symbols of the local coast, the Bear's Rock. The La Sciumara beach is also wide and sandy, sheltered from the wind by large rocks. It is often visited by families with children because the sea here is exceptionally calm.
