The Benedictine monastery adjacent to the basilica of Saint Justyna was built in the 10th century, and gained its current appearance during the reconstruction in the 18th century. The simple, Romanesque church was covered with neoclassical domes. The interior is surrounded by a wreath of chapels dedicated to martyrs and saints associated with Padua and decorated with precious altars and polychromes.
