The palace was designed in the first half of the 19th century by Vincenzo Sinatra and modeled on French palaces from that period. Its lower part with arcades and colonnade was completed around 1830, while the upper floor with corrugated facade was added 100 years later. Currently, the palace houses the seat of the city authorities.
