Located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, it was built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The basilica is a great example of Renaissance style. Inside, there are, among others tombstones of Venetian Doges. The church is part of the Benedictine monastery complex of the same name.
