The baroque cathedral, which dates back to the 4th century, and the current appearance is due to repeated conversions after subsequent earthquakes. The richly decorated interior is hidden behind a nineteenth century facade and is made of marble in various colors. In the crypt under the church you can see the relics of Saint January, patron of Naples, as well as the remains of the baptistery from the 5th century
