Ghirlandin Tower

Local name: Torre Ghirlandina

The belfry of the cathedral in Modena is also a symbol of the city and a characteristic landmark visible from many places in the area. It is a tower built in the second half of the 12th century in the Romanesque style. On five floors on a square plan, with bifory windows, there is an octagonal finial with a spire. Inside, you can see, among others, a room decorated with fifteenth-century frescoes.
