The monumental temple was built in the 1920s as a monument for 7237 soldiers from Modena who died in the First World War. The facade is decorated with a rosette and reliefs, and the whole is crowned with a high dome. Inside there is a chapel dedicated to those killed in the Italian-Abyssinian War.
