One of the main squares of Livorno laid out in the first half of the 19th century. It is surrounded by neoclassical and eclectic buildings with elegant facades. There are two 19th-century statues of the rulers of Tuscany, Leopold II and Ferdinand III, depicted in the costumes of Roman senators.
