A mighty early Renaissance chateau built at the end of the 15th century by the Sforza family on the site of the Visconti Castle from the 10th century. It is a structure with three courtyards, surrounded by high walls with gates and defensive towers. Some of them were demolished in the 19th century and replaced with neo-Renaissance wings. Today, some rooms house a museum of contemporary art, others are occupied by the library.
